After a disappointing season, the Philadelphia 76ers are poised to go to the postseason.
They’re already in first place in the NBA standings.
And the only question is how good they’ll be when they do?article The NBA has been in a tailspin for some time.
The 76ers, who are in first, second and third place in both the standings and the conference, are on the cusp of another season that has them locked into the first round of the playoffs.
They need only win one game to advance.
The 76ers have the best record in the league, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are a half-game behind them and the Warriors, who have a chance to clinch their first title since 2012, have the second-worst record in NBA history.
And while the Warriors and 76ers may have different goals in mind for the playoffs, they share similar experiences.
“It’s a tough road,” Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman said.
“I think we’re all looking forward to going to the Finals.
It’s one of the biggest prizes in the world.
But the biggest thing for us is to make sure we have some playoff success, because it’s going to be a tough thing to lose to somebody in the second round.”
The Sixers are coming off a season in which they fell in the first game of the season to the Timberwolves, a game they eventually won by a score of 96-86.
The Timberwolves have a tough schedule.
They play five of their next six at home.
The Timberwolves, who lost Kevin Love to a torn ACL in late December, have struggled this season.
They’ve gone 10-36 and have gone 0-12 against the Sixers, who haven’t lost since Nov. 15.
They were 3-9 in Minnesota last season and have the worst record in a month of the regular season in the Western Conference.
The Sixers have had some struggles against the Timberwolves this season, especially on the defensive end.
They allowed the most points in the West and the second most rebounds, but also had the second highest turnover margin and had the third-worst field goal percentage, according, according ESPN Stats and Info.
They have struggled to defend Kevin Love in his career, as he has averaged 26.3 points, 6.3 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game.
They have given up the second fewest points per game, per ESPN Stats.
And they’ve given up a league-high 38.6 points per 100 possessions against him.
“We have a very good defensive team and we have to find ways to win the ball game,” Adelman added.
“We have to make a good defensive effort on him.”
The 76s are still trying to find their footing defensively.
They haven’t won more than seven straight games and are on pace to finish their best start in franchise history.
Adelman was fired on Dec. 11 after the team was swept by the Los Angeles Clippers.
But he returned as a coach and has a chance this season to rebuild a team that finished a disappointing seventh in the Eastern Conference.
“I’m going to have a great season,” Adelser said.
