FOX 59 News has learned the Fox News Channel is considering relocating to D.c. as the station’s new home for the 2017-18 season.
Fox 59 News, which began in D. c. in the mid-1990s, will now cover the District of Columbia from mid-September to mid-October, according to a source familiar with the plans.
FOX 59 has been working with a variety of local news organizations and broadcast partners to come up with a new location.
The news channel has been in Washington, DC for over 50 years.
Fox’s newsroom is expected to be a major boost to the station in its quest to grow.
It will bring together several news organizations including the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, Politico, the Huffington Post, Fox News, Fox Business Network and Fox Sports.
Fox News Channel will also be bringing in more news programming, including news shows, online content and other digital assets to Fox News.FOX 59 has become the newest addition to FOX’s new D. C. newsroom.
The channel will serve as a new newsroom for the D. ca.
Fox 59 has already served the District, Virginia and Maryland.
